Comme des Garçons — Garage

Comme des Garçons — Garage
Eau de Toilette
Olfactory Library
Series 6: Synthetic
In 2004, Comme des Garçons declared war on natural components with the launch of a new series of anti-perfumes, Series 6: Synthetic. The smells of
a big city were captured in a transparent plastic bottle in which one could observe a garbage bag. Each fragrance was imbued with something familiar, and even dear, just as we like the strange smells of our childhood. The brand described this body of work as “socially incorrect frangrances”, “ground breaking anti-perfumes pushing beyond the realm of traditional fragrances.”
Garage is a very romantic fragrance originally released in this collection but now returns in the Olfactory Library. It evokes childhood memories of the garage, cars and various interesting tools.
“Yes, it smells of grease, oil, traces of kerosene, rubber and various lubricants but it’s overall clean, extremly bright and...plasticky. It’s a tidy garage, almost aseptic, with metal walls and a clean white floor illuminated by neon lights [...] incredibly compelling and futuristic.” — alfarom, fragrantica
