Eau de Parfum

Each eau de parfum from Kitowa is inspired by a different majestic tree native to Japan. The base of each is the rich concentrated oil from its namesake with hints of complementary luxury aromatic oils. The result is a line of impeccably designed fragrances that exude a modern, calm, focused composure imbued with the depth of sacred history.

Hinoki oil has become quite hip in modern fragrance. However, few have created such a mystical, sensitive and invigorating accord with the woody aroma. Hinoki from Mie Prefecture is sacred to Japanese people because it was used in the reconstruction of Ise Grand Shrine (over 1000 years old), the most sacred Shinto shrine in Japan. Fittingly, Hinoki gives the feeling of a breezy, airy wood honorifically floating around the historical site. The iris here — which conjures up the image of a white bark — elegantly wafts with added depth from sandalwood. Kitowa fragrances use alcohol derived from sugar cane plants, which also offers a mellow and mild aroma to this composition. Hinoki is blended with hinoki oil produced in Mie Prefecture.

Field & Florist is honored to offer Kitowa fragrances in the U.S. for the first time.
