Comme des Garçons — Eau de Parfum
Eau de Parfum
The first fragrance from the house of Comme des Garçons and an abstract masterpiece. This avant-garde perfume does not fit into a classical three-phase perfume structure with top, middle and base notes. Some might call it a chypre for the future.
“I’ve never smelled another perfume like it, which is special in and of itself. While most perfumes try to conjure a garden, woods, or some pastoral scene, this fragrance is so urban to me; a cluster of every kind of person sweating on top of concrete sidewalks. A bit of gasoline, or something a hair bitter. The original tagline, “A perfume that works like a medicine and behaves like a drug,” is one of my favorite bits of copywriting. Spiritual, medicinal, and overwhelming.” — friedpotato, fragrantica
