Kyoto is a fragrance for meditation, named after the city of Kyoto, considered to be the heart of Japan. Kyoto is calm and wise, it takes us through the temples of the city, making us think and reconcile. The eternal green aromatic cypress mixes with the calm and powerful elegance of cedar; vetiver invites us to listen to the breathing of the black and warm earth.
Sillage is soft and delicate. Upon drydown, Kyoto becomes a close skin scent that ducks hazy and cerebral thought by way of austere (clear) and angularly articulated forest air. A slightly bracing and cold breath as you climb.
There’s a heavy dose of Iso Super E here, giving a hard-to-place and gentle persistance like mist evaporating off of the forest’s canopy at dawn.
