This is the refined version of the very first fragrance Gatsby Yeh blended in 2011. In its current formulation, the perfumer returns to honor his “beautiful and naive” beginning with the skills and knowledge that can only accrue with time.
The scent opens with the slight citric warmth of frankincense. Mineral elements follow. For Yeh, these notes conjure human civilizations in formation. A mildly spicy floral saffron with a leathery suede accompaniment gives way to a subtle plum accord. The gentle fruit rests upon a labdanum and vetiver heart.
