Bare feet strike the red earth. They stir it up, forming a brown cloud that drifts with the wind. Little by little, the cloud lightens, until it suddenly evaporates upon contact with hard, cold asphalt. Towédé has left a magical land where spirits float among the trees, for a new land that disregards myths and the paranormal. A land that proclaims its modernity and rationality. But Towédé is a force that nothing can sanitize. It is a fierce gentleness, a fierce tenderness. Towédé is the meeting of two worlds. They coexist, encroach upon one another, intertwine, mingle, interpret each other. Yet, a balance is established without one fading into the background, without one completely giving way to the other.
