Régime des Fleurs — Himitsu Violets

from $8.00

Eau de Parfum

The starched angles of a Kyoto University student’s suit seen through a mauve filter.

Régime des Fleurs teams with Christopher Niquet to ask:

What does it mean for a perfume to explore masculinity in 2021, at a time when gender norms are being challenged more than ever? How can we use ‘masculine’ ingredients in a new way?

“Régime has riffed on violets in previous releases, namely Dove Grey, 2014—blended by Alia Raza herself and then-co-director Ezra Wood—and Matthieu Nardin’s Willows, 2016. I’ve found that anyone who smells Dove Grey on skin hails it a masterpiece, and Willows draws violet along with mimosa, wheat, and iris into a gentle nap time reverie. By comparison, Himitsu Violets establishes new territory for the chilly little posey in a burlesque balancing act across from flushed cheeks, suede, and rounded, mellow spices—a suavely piquant potpourri that hopscotches between past and future deliriums.”
— Matt Morris, Fragrantica

NOTES

violet
lily of the valley
saffron
heliotrope
tolu balsam
suede

NOSE — Dominique Ropion

Los Angeles, New York & Paris, 2021
