Taking its name from Joris-Karl Huysmans’s 1891 novel, Là-Bas (which means “over there” en français) began with an intriguing premise: What if Paris’s Saint-Sulpice, landed on New York City’s Madison Avenue?
“Là-Bas is not a feel-good perfume, but it is about a feeling: the haunting sense that wherever you are, you wish to be somewhere else. Not here; over there. With bitter leather, dry patchouli, dark spices, and absolutes of Bulgarian and Turkish rose.” — Règime des Fleurs
