NOTES DE BAS DE PAJE

The footnote serves to clarify, explain, and elaborate on what is told in the body of the text. It provides the necessary references to understand the story.

A note is also the scent released by a perfume. It evokes an object, a plant, a material, a memory, a place, a person. It translates, in understandable terms, what is contained in the chemical formula of the perfume.

Paje is the phonetic mix of “page,” our initials, and the hyphen that binds us: that « et » (French for « and ») which is dear to us. That « et » that makes us a duo: Pierre-Junior Et Alice.

Because our perfumes are the footnotes of our respective stories and the ones we have started writing together.

Each phase of life corresponds to a chapter in the book. Sometimes it’s a continuation of the previous one, sometimes a complete break from it. Sometimes it’s the unexpected arrival of a character after hundreds of pages. Sometimes it’s the sudden loss of another, even though we have not turned many.

Notes de Bas de Paje is the title of the story we are writing in scents. Ours. Yours. The one made of moments lived together or apart, of people met, of trials and decisions made.
