Fray Ardens — Cactus Prick
Eau de Parfum
The shadow-side alter to its grassy, high-noted new-monied brother, Nouveau Ranch. Non-nuanced smoke, ember, lapsang souchong, uber-masc.
Inspired by West Texas flora, fauna, the protective aspects of cacti and their friends; and some concepts regarding faux cowboys. singed hair, fine regrets, late summers and early winters.
Speaking about Cactus Prick with Matt Morris for Fragrantica, perfumer Ash Compton said it’s, “the faux cowboy archetype who smells of mesquite, smoke, too much mezcal if such a thing. And it’s also making fun of myself, being that b*tch that moves to the desert and eats rattlesnake and goats cooked in the ground, revering all of my shoes and textiles being dust- covered...I am that stereotype too, maybe.”
Cactus Prick is from Fray Ardens’ So Below line which also features Dusty Rose and Pneuma.
NOTES
dark desert
deep incense
pine forest after a burn amber
musk
singed grass
thick smoke
peppercorn
