A Collaboration between Woodkid (Musician) and Marie Salamagne (Perfumer)
Kraft Gommé isn’t just a perfume. Rather, it is the smell of a memory. Twenty years have passed since Woodkid attended art school, but the ghost of his supplies, buried in a corner of his memory, resurfaced. Kneaded erasers, glue, varnish, paper, adhesives and a wooden easel: This accord synthesizes the smell of creation, the sketch of a young artist in the making. It was during this period that the future director shaped his love of images, with his paint-stained hands and his nose stuck in art books.
A linseed, beeswax and myrrh accord is the starting point of a clay-like, humid and cool material. From sculpture to drawing, the fragrance becomes drier with cedar wood, the smell of a freshly sharpened pencil. Eyes meeting for the first time, nascent emo- tions... The creation is enriched with tobacco notes: a young man’s nicotine-smelling hands, caresses stolen between two sketches. Softly wrapped in Tolu balsam and Ambrox, Kraft Gommé can be worn on a scarf, draped in the memory of a forbidden night of passion.
