Silver Musk is composed entirely from musks. Somehow the sum of its parts is bright, transparent and illuminated. Deceptively simple but deeply mercurial.
Clean and shimmering like an oil slick. There is a level of playfulness and mischief in the work of Alessandro Gualtieri — almost a hint of someone bored and trying to build a series of complex puzzles to solve. The saving grace is that he always arrives with something that carries the index of its journey. The accrued knowledge is presented as a generous gift. One gets the sense that it was never a safe or simple passage.
