Series 7: Sweet
Originally released in 1996, the concept for CDG’s seventh series was, as they wrote, “Based on the theme of sweet, the ritual of Sweet: what is sweet, who is sweet, how sweet or not sweet can sweet be.”
Reintroduced as part of CDG’s Olfactory Library, Nomadtea presents an interpretation of sweet that is based on “a sweet that is rough and exotic, edgy and almost uncooked.”
This otherworldly formula rides the perfect line between the pungency of deeply steeped mint tea with just a hint of bitterness that pushes it away from the cough syrup gag of most compositions that aim for this terrain. Instead, Nomadtea focuses in on a transparent medicinal aromatic that truly conjures the “itinerant philosopher” that CDG describes as the inspiration. Casual enough for an every day scent, but mysterious enough for night.
