Series 7: Sweet
Originally released in 1996, the concept for CDG’s seventh series was, as they wrote, “Based on the theme of sweet, the ritual of Sweet: what is sweet, who is sweet, how sweet or not sweet can sweet be.”
We might call Stickycake a demi-gourmand. It carries a heady, soft and syrupy quality that feels reminiscent of a British tea cake but with a dry, powdery iris in the center. The result is an almost coconut milk smoothness that makes this a light, easy wear.
“Imagine an upscale European style bakery with marble floors and delicious treats displayed behind glass. [...] This is the image I get when I smell Stickycake. A beautiful almond croissant accompanied with marzipan pistachio treats. Sweet, nutty and warm. The scent is not overwhelming and it’s just faint enough to smell like when smelling the treats in the bakery or through the box.” — CasuallyFragrant, fragrantica
